Infrastructure Architecture Frameworks

Novonanmek develops architecture standards that establish the structural foundation for large-scale industrial ecosystem development. These frameworks are technology-neutral and enable multiple industries, governments and investors to participate within coordinated infrastructure systems.

HOPT-AS®

Hub-Only Pipeline Topology Architecture Standard: A deterministic infrastructure architecture for regional carbon management networks that reduces fragmentation, preserves strategic corridors, improves scalability and enables shared carbon infrastructure.

HLAS®

Hydrogen Logistics Architecture Standard: A regional architecture framework governing hydrogen production, aggregation, transport, storage and industrial distribution, enabling scalable hydrogen ecosystems.

NRIA®

Nuclear Repowering Interface Architecture: A structured framework for coal-to-nuclear steam cycle repowering. NRIA establishes deterministic pathways for repowering existing coal-fired power plants using nuclear heat sources while preserving steam turbines, grid infrastructure and balance-of-plant systems.

The framework standardises turbine classification, interface architectures, nuclear–conventional boundary definitions and reactor performance requirements, enabling repeatable repowering strategies, vendor-neutral feasibility assessment and early-stage planning for industrial decarbonisation.

NEIA®

Nuclear Engineering Interface Architecture:  A structured classification framework for nuclear energy integration and deployment feasibility. NEIA provides a common architectural language for matching nuclear reactor capabilities with industrial and grid applications. Rather than evaluating each project independently, the framework classifies demand characteristics, reactor capabilities, integration architectures and resulting system configurations to identify feasible deployment pathways.

The framework supports early-stage planning, technology screening and structured comparison across applications including industrial process heat, hydrogen production, cogeneration, district heating, desalination, remote power generation and hybrid energy systems.

Dynamic Compliance®

Real-Time Architecture Stewardship: A continuous architecture assurance framework that preserves the defining characteristics of infrastructure architectures throughout their operational lifecycle, reducing Architecture Drift and protecting long-term investment value.

EIIP®

Energy Infrastructure Implementation Program : Novonanmek's Infrastructure Investment De-Risking Platform.

EIIP provides the governance, implementation and stewardship framework that transforms architecture into investable infrastructure ecosystems through:

  • Architecture Development

  • Capital Planning

  • Stakeholder Alignment

  • Infrastructure Delivery Governance

  • Dynamic Compliance

  • Real-Time Stewardship

Unlike conventional implementation programmes, EIIP remains active throughout the operational life of infrastructure ecosystems, preserving their architectural integrity and investment quality.

Infrastructure Investment Assurance

Novonanmek has developed the Infrastructure Investment Assurance Platform (IIAP)—a governance framework that combines:

  • Architecture Certification

  • Dynamic Compliance

  • Real-Time Architecture Stewardship

Together these mechanisms preserve the defining characteristics of infrastructure architectures, helping governments and institutional investors maintain long-term infrastructure value while reducing architecture risk before it becomes capital risk.

Areas of Specialisation

Our intellectual property and architecture frameworks support infrastructure development across:

  • Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)

  • Hydrogen Infrastructure

  • Nuclear Energy Systems

  • Industrial Decarbonisation

  • Energy Transition

  • Industrial Ecosystem Development

  • Infrastructure Investment De-Risking

  • Infrastructure Governance

  • Infrastructure Architecture

  • Long-Term Infrastructure Stewardship

Research & Innovation

Novonanmek continues to expand its portfolio of proprietary technologies, infrastructure architecture standards and governance frameworks that support the development of future-ready industrial ecosystems capable of attracting long-term institutional capital.
